HITRECORD: A Collaborative Resource For Creatives

A few weeks ago I wrote this and posted it on my personal blog, but I figure it’s relevant here too! Enjoy…

A friend of mine loaned me a book called The Tiny Book of Tiny Stories recently and I absolutely adored it! It reminded me a little of the Shorts I post right here on this blog each week. Anywho, upon reading more about it and how it was written, I stumbled across an online community for creatives called HITRECORD. I’m probably late to the party as HITRECORD has been around for quite a few years now, but I figured I’d send the word out to others who missed the initial HITRECORD hype. If you’re a creative of any and all backgrounds/specialties and you’re interested in learning about this awesome collaborative initiative, read on…

What is HITRECORD?

HITRECORD is an online hub that’s filled to the brim with a plethora of creative minds and their various contributions. From animators to creative writers, photographers to artists, any and all creative talents are welcome.

Basically, you can use HITRECORD as your own creative space to build you profile up with your own short stories, projects, imagery, etc. OR you can collaborate with other creatives, contributing to different projects they’ve created by commenting on their posts, according to the kind of collaboration they’ve requested.

If a project/production you contribute to is published by the HITRECORD team and ends up making money, you share in the profits! How amazing is that?!

Who created HITRECORD?

HITRECORD was created by none other than the extremely talented and highly creative Joseph Gordon-Levitt aka RegularJOE. He’s well-known for his roles in The Dark Knight Rises, Inception and, of course, for voicing Jim in Treasure Planet. Besides his acting career, his philanthropic nature has seen him involved in various projects that bring different communities together, especially when it comes to helping creativity shine.

Who can contribute to HITRECORD?

Honestly, anyone. If you’ve got a creative project you want to see come to fruition but you just need a little help from other like-minded artists, or you want a place to go when you feel like your creativity is peaking and you can’t find the right outlet, HITRECORD is the place for you!

If you’re looking to find out more, RegularJOE has created a bit of an intro page on the HITRECORD site that you can find HERE. Otherwise, just head across to the HITRECORD SITE, create an account and share in this awesome collaborative resource with tens of thousands of other creatives.

Are you part of the HITRECORD community? What do you love most about it? If you have a project in the works, feel free to share a link to it or to your profile in the comments! 🙂
